Kirsten Fredericks
Sydney Host and National Coordinator

Our Sydney host Kirsten has been running swaps since 2008. She holds our record for the biggest clothing exchange event topping 2000 people. Kirsten hosted a War on Waste event with the ABC and that saw hundreds of people swapping, including whole families getting involved. Kirsten is our national coordinator who recruits and mentors hosts across Australia. She has been a passionate swap advocate from the start. As she says “we are providing a service to the community and engaging with people who deeply care about the environment who also have fun whimsical sense of fashion”. As knitwear artist and hospitality guru, Kirsten knows how to craft an exceptional exchange event.

Jenna Flood
Melbourne Host

Jenna (aka Ironic Minimalist) is a slow fashion stylist who focuses on educating people on the issues that surround fast fashion. She advocates for sustainable alternatives such as pre-loved, vintage and clothing made with sustainable practices.

Jenna also believes in slowing down our clothing consumption by curating capsule wardrobes and buying for long term investments instead of purchasing on a whim or following short trends. She hopes that in the future, more people invest in the sharing economy by renting or borrowing garments instead of owning them.

Jenna has been with The Clothing Exchange team as a volunteer and ambassador since 2018, but now she has stepped up to become the Melbourne Host!
